Each of the eight family members has a permanent role at Sonnenhof, the most beautiful holiday accommodation in the Tannheim valley, and everybody pulls their own weight. Senior manager, Richard, plants herbs which are later used by chef de cuisine and award-winning chef, Patrick, in his excellent gourmet menus. Hotel manager, Rainer, is not only a trained mountain hiking guide, but also a gifted wine connoisseur who is pleased to advise you about the excellent wines in his wine cellar, the centrepiece of your accommodation in Grän. His wife, Christina, cares for the wellbeing of the guests and lovingly decorates the hotel. Patrick’s wife, Madlen welcomes you with a friendly smile at the reception and is your contact person for all your questions and heart’s desires. Senior boss, Marlies has always been the good soul of this accommodation in the Tannheim valley and also manages the “Kleine Laden” and your wellbeing. The third generation, the two boys, Johannes and Luis, also participate actively in the daily running of the accommodation in the Tannheim valley. Our gourmet hotel in Tyrol is not located in the village centre of Grän, as many other accommodation establishments are, but slightly above the village on a sunny rise in the midst of greenery. In summer, at exactly the same time every afternoon, you can watch how the cows leave the meadows next to the Sonnenhof from your accommodation in the Tannheim valley to trot alone peacefully along the road towards the village and eventually to their stalls. Deer also regularly come at this hour to nibble on the young shoots in the meadow in front of the hotel. We personally find there is nothing more authentic and greener! In winter you can enjoy a valuable bonus since the Sonnenhof lies directly next to the ski area of Füssener Jöchle. How are you spending your next holiday in Tannheim valley?
